Sport Therapist Ashleigh Watson

 

Ashleigh Graduated with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree from the University of Gloucestershire. Ashleigh specializes in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries to optimize performance and recovery. 

Since a young age, Ashleigh has always been interested in sport and helping people and she is extremely fortunate to find herself in a position which encompasses both.

Ashleigh has practised and gained established knowledge both in clinic and pitch side with Cheltenham Town Academy and the Sports therapist at Tuffley Rovers FC.

Along with Ashleigh’s degree she has gained additional qualifications, these include Level 4 Sports Massage/Deep Tissue Massage, Level 1 and 2 Kinesiology Taping and Rehabilitation which involves diagnosing and treating injuries. In clinic , Ashleigh sees patients with a wide range of injuries. 

In Ashleigh’s spare time she enjoys walking her dog, Lara and keeping fit. Since becoming a new mum, she loves spending time as a family and making new memories together. 

Along aside Ashleigh`s career , she previously played cricket for Stroud Ladies cricket team and played Football for 20 years and was Captain of Forest Green Ladies.

I suffer from a stiff neck and shoulder pain mainly because of years sitting at a computer and not moving my body as it’s meant to move; also there is an age issue here (58). The stiffness and some of the pain has already been taken away after only 2 sessions. Staff are attentive and help me to feel comfortable and at ease with the process.

I initially sought Chiropractic care over 15 years ago for back and neck pain and Claire has very successfully treated me for the last 8 years. I would just like to say the help and caring treatment I had from Claire enabled me to get through a very difficult time. In particular her techniques for guiding me through a very distressing cardiac stress MRI scan which I was dreading as I am very claustrophobic.
